Liposuction and Body Contouring.

You've dieted, exercised, and denied temptation to reach your targeted weight. But there are still problem areas that your hard work can't seem to touch. What can you do? Liposuction may be an option.

Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle - but selectively targeting problem areas with this procedure can make you feel better about yourself. It should be noted that liposuction is not used to treat obesity. Unwanted localized deposits of fat cells are removed from the body via a thin suction tube called a canula that is inserted through small, inconspicuously placed incisions. Large volumes of saline solution, mixed with local anesthetics and adrenaline are infused into the fatty areas, producing a local swelling allowing your surgeon to maneuver the canula and contour an attractive form.

The results of this procedure are permanent. Once removed, fat cells will not return - however, if your diet or exercise regimen alters for the worse, you may notice an increased girth in untreated areas. This represents the fat depositing in fatty cells in other areas of the body.

Typically most patients require one procedure, though a fine-tuning procedure may be required in the future for some patients.

Liposuction can be performed on the following areas:
