What can you do to look as young as you feel? For years facelift surgery had been reserved for the rich and famous - but no longer. Babyboomers from all walks of life have undergone this energizing, well-recognized and popular procedure - not just movie stars and celebrities.
Very thin incisions are made in front of the ears and if necessary, underneath the chin (hidden). Excess skin is then resected, resulting in an overall tightening of the jowls, neck and jaw line. The patient is heavily sedated by the anesthesiologist. Typically, the patient can return home 2 to 4 hours after the surgery.
Alone, a facelift cannot remove forehead wrinkles, bags under your eyes or crow's feet. These problems can be addressed by performing separate procedures for additional fees at the same time as the facelift.
This type of facelift procedure is good for addressing the aged face, and to a smaller extent, the aged neck. This is not the procedure of choice for individuals with conspicuous relaxation of the neck.
Prices.
The fee for this mini facelift is $7800 - this does not include additional procedures such as eyelid surgeries or laser resurfacing. These prices include Dr. Ari's surgeon's fees, up to six after-surgery visits, the anesthesia doctor's charges and the surgical center's charges in Munster, Indiana. If the surgery is done in Illinois, the charges are higher.
