Cosmetic Ear Surgery.
When you wear a hat or pull your hair back you may feel that your ears are too prominent - protruding more than the next person. If this bothers you, you may want to consider cosmetic ear surgery. Larger ears can be reduced in size, protruding ears can be pinned back.
The procedure can be performed as early as age 5, and requires general anesthesia if performed between the ages of 5 and 15. For patients older than 15 years of age, the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia.
Prices.
The fee to pin back both ears is $4,100. These prices include Dr. Ari's surgeon's fees, up to six after-surgery visits, the anesthesia doctor's charges and the surgical center's charges in Munster, Indiana. If the surgery is done in Illinois, the charges are higher.
